Adding track to the drawbridge section

Richard Stewart • June 25, 2021

Will my atrocious soldering be enough to make this work?

Now that I have installed the hinged / raised / drawbridge section on my OO gauge model railway layout, I attempt to work out the best way to install track to it!

(BTW, I'm never sure how to refer to this section! What do YOU call these sections? Please let me know! You can drop me an email, or leave a comment on the Youtube video!)

I also discuss my reason for installing hinges on the TOP of the boards, and why they would not work if they were installed underneath.

There is also a POWER-ful experiment, (Sorry, I needed to get a dad pun in somehow!) in an attempt to connect track power together without it being in physical contact.

The question is, will my atrocious soldering actually work when I try using my Hornby "Blue Diamond" small steam engine and my Class 58 Diesel locomotive on a small test bed I created?
