I SAVED (almost) £800 building a space for my model railway layout!
By using frugal thinking, penny pinching and general being tight, I managed to create a space for my model railway for very little money!
When I built the shed for my model railway, I wanted to save as much money as possible.
So, by using frugal thinking, strategic searching and a whole lot of luck, I managed to get my shed build, insulated and have base boards installed for MUCH less!
In fact, I managed to save almost £800!
Potential costs of the shed build, as explained in the video:
- Shed (to buy new): £420 (WAS £524!)
- Slabs: (£60 FOR 8 TILES)
- Sharp Sand / Ballast: (£70)
- Insulation: (£40 for 2 rolls)
- Ply wood: (£200 for 8 sheets)
- Other wood: (Appx. £60 for 2 sheets for Base boards)
- Other wood: Appx. £40 for (8 lengths for supports / legs)
- Brackets: (£7 for 2 packs)
- Screws: (£13 for 3 boxes)
- Total: £910!
